Perching here and gathering my thoughts ...

Boston in February

12 February 2006 ~ 19:01

On Wednesday, we got back from six days in Boston. The weather was great for the time of year, mild (almost warm, in fact) and sunnyalthough they got a blizzard yesterday, so thank God we were home safe home by then!

We visited Tanya, Mark's sister, and I got to see her new appartment, new dog Emma and new cat Salem (Oreo, her original cat, stayed hidden under the bed the whole time, poor thing). We walked Emma, who is a Boxer. She is a lovely friendly girl, and Salem is a handsome boy, a jet black cat with striking green eyes.

We also visited Mark's grandmother who had celebrated her 88th birthday the day before, met Tanya for lunch in Boston, and did plenty of shopping. I enjoyed feeding the geese and ducks in Sudburyin the countryand there were loads of squirrels in the backyard to feed.

On the way home, the plane flew over London and we had a spectacular view of Kensington, The Millenium Dome and the tower at Imperial College where I work. You could see the curve of the Thames like on the title sequence to EastEnders!

Barbara, Mark's mom, gave me a cute photo of Mark as a five-year-old (circa 1974). I adore it and thought I'd share, hope he doesn't mind!
