Perching here and gathering my thoughts ...

In Dublin's fair city....

25 March 2004 ~ 23:25

This past weekend Mark, Mum and I visited Dublin.

The weather was very mixed, with it raining one minute, sunny the next, and it was very windy. In fact it was so windy that when our plane was coming down to land, we were buffeted about like we were on a rollercoaster ride. People were actually screaming (er ... including us!)

The hotel was very nice. We had a mini-bar and dressing gowns, and even our own balconynot that it was nice enough outside to use it.

We went around and saw a few sites and shopped for souvenirs, and following is a photo of Mark and I at Dublin Castle.

Mark nearly ended up staying in Dublin because he went and left his passport, which contains his UK visa, in the cab that we took from the airport! Luckily we had tipped the driver, a nice bloke called Quentin, very well, and he called us at the hotel so that we were able to stop by and pick up the passport from his house on the way back.

All in all, a pleasant little trip.
