Gargoyle gazing 29 November 2003 ~ 00:00 Yesterday I went to Paris with my mother-in-law Barbara to see Notre Dame. Barbara loves gargoyles and she wanted to climb up to the top of the cathedral to take pictures of them.She wasn�t sure if she�d make it up all those stairs, but she did. We both did, all 422 of them! We saw the gargoyles�all sorts of strange creatures and animals�plus the bell tower made famous in the �Hunchback of Notre Dame� story, and of course, the magnificent view. It was a tiring day, and a rainy and miserable one to boot, but well worth it. Enjoy the pic.  -  |
