Trip to see Red Squirrels 10 October 2006 ~ 15:15 Mum & I are going to Formby, near Liverpool, on 25th November, where there is a colony of RED squirrels! The hotel is an old mansion house in wooded grounds with a pool, and the Formby Nature Reserve, where the squirrels are, is only a short taxi ride away. On the way back we might have a look around Liverpool, as we've never been there. Red squirrels don't exist in many places in Britain now, mainly just Scotland and some islands, so these reds are pretty unique! And they'll have their cute 'ear tufts' because it'll be winter, so they'll look adorable. They are as tame as the greys in Kensington Gardens and take nuts out of your hand. Can't wait!
