Stella �Lightning�: March 13, 2002 � June 10, 2003 11 June 2003 ~ 20:28 Our lovely Stella was put to sleep yesterday evening at 9 p.m. She was only 15 months old. She has been such a little trooper throughout her illness. She had an abscess on her liver and had surgery on it several months ago when I noticed a bulge on one side of her.As the stuff was so thick they could not drain it, and it was too firmly attached to her liver to be removed. They wanted to put her to sleep there and then but we said no way, even if she has only two weeks left, let her have them. So we took her home and watched her poor little body get more and more swollen until she resembled a baseball on legs. She still loved to eat though and when I had her out of the cage for a little run around a few days ago, she still managed to move quite quickly, and eventually fell asleep inside the cat furniture.
She didn't deserve such rotten luck and we'll miss her like crazy, and so will Luna and Sky.
